Allison Williams at the M3GAN New York Special Screening: IN or OUT?
Current scream queen and the most self-aware of the nepo babies Allison Williams grabbed her cute fiancé Alex Dreymond and hit the red carpet for the premiere of M3GAN, which we can’t help put pronounce EMTHREEGAN, but whatever. It’s already a viral hit (you just know that creepy doll bitch will be the hottest Halloween costume of 2023) and Miss Williams is showing herself to be a savvy picker of projects for herself.
She still dresses kind of dull, though. She comes from that Gwyneth Paltrow school of style: rich, pretty white girls who never had to work hard for attention and thus never really cultivated a love of fashion or a facility in matters of style. That’s not a read, just a fact. The dégradée effect of the textile is literally the only interesting part of the design. The color doesn’t do much for the it, nor does it really pop on her. And the shape of the dress is kind of generic and forgettable. She doesn’t look bad, because it would be nearly impossible for her to look bad in a sequined dress, fully made up, but like so many of her red carpet looks, it’s instantly forgettable. Are being mean? No, really. We’re asking.
